## MICROSOFT INTRODUCES ENERGY SAVER MODE FOR WINDOWS 11 INSIDERS
Microsoft has recently announced the addition of an energy saver mode for Windows 11 Insiders (Build 26002), which aims to extend and enhance the existing battery saver option. Unlike the battery saver mode, the new energy saver mode is not limited to laptops and can also be used on desktop computers to conserve electricity.
## ENERGY SAVER MODE: AVAILABILITY AND FUNCTIONALITY
The energy saver mode is available for use on both desktop devices and laptops, even when they are plugged in. It functions similarly to the battery saver mode, with the additional benefit of helping to save energy by trading off some system performance. However, it may not be the ideal option for gaming purposes.
## HOW TO ENABLE ENERGY SAVER MODE
Users can enable the energy saver mode from the Quick Settings menu, or configure it from the Settings menu by navigating to System > Power > Energy saver. Here, they have the option to toggle on the feature or choose to run it automatically when the device reaches a certain battery percentage.
## ENERGY SAVER MODE ROLLOUT
The energy saver mode is currently rolling out to Windows 11 Insiders in the Canary channel. For those who do not have access to this build, the existing battery saver mode is still available for use on Windows 11. Additionally, users can optimize their power consumption with the system’s energy recommendations feature, which automatically adjusts certain settings to save power.
