Le ’bouton magique’ de Google TV fait ses débuts, mais pas sur un Chromecast

## GOOGLE TV RUMORED “MAGIC BUTTON” SPOTTED ON WALMART STREAMING BOX REMOTE

Google’s rumored “Magic Button” shortcut for Google TV has been seen in the wild on a real-world remote for an upcoming streaming box made by Walmart. The device, called Onn 4K Pro, powered by Google TV, features the new star button in the top right corner, which can be programmed as a shortcut to an app or to change inputs. It replaces the dedicated TV input button on previous Onn streaming box remotes.

## GOOGLE’S NEW BUTTON INTRODUCED ON NON-GOOGLE HARDWARE

The button, which has been leaking as part of Google TV-adjacent hardware for years, made its first appearance in marketing materials for Google’s debut Chromecast TV in 2020. Last year, it was spotted inside Android TV beta code, hinting at its arrival in an upcoming Chromecast under the name “Magic Button.” With Google’s I/O developer conference scheduled for May 14th, there is a possibility of a new Chromecast version being unveiled there.

## ONN 4K PRO FEATURES BUILT-IN SMART SPEAKER AND PRO FEATURES

The Onn 4K Pro, which was leaked recently, features a built-in smart speaker and “Pro” features such as Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. The remote also includes a large “Free TV” button that directs users to Google’s FAST channels. Although the device has not yet appeared on Walmart’s website, leaks suggest that it will be officially released shortly.
