The highly anticipated next installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, has been officially announced by Ubisoft. The trailer for the game introduces players to its dual protagonists, the samurai Yasuke and the shinobi Naoe, set in feudal Japan.
### Codename Red Transforms into Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Previously known by the codename Assassin’s Creed Red, the game underwent a formal name change to Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This revelation came as part of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed roadmap, which also included updates on other upcoming titles like Assassin’s Creed Jade and Codename Hexe.
### Assassin’s Creed Jade Faces Delay
While details about Codename Hexe remain scarce, Assassin’s Creed Jade, a mobile game co-developed by Tencent Games, faced delays in its release. The game completed its first closed beta last August but may take longer to launch due to Tencent’s shift in development focus towards its own gaming IPs.
### Watch Out for Assassin’s Creed Shadows Release
Although gameplay footage of Yasuke and Naoe was not revealed, fans can look forward to experiencing Assassin’s Creed Shadows firsthand when it launches on Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and Mac on November 15th.
