Valorant arrive enfin sur consoles

Riot’s Tactical Shooter Valorant Coming to Consoles

Riot Games’ popular tactical shooter game, Valorant, which has been exclusive to PC since its launch in 2020, is now expanding to console platforms. The developer has announced that a limited beta version of Valorant will be available on the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S starting on June 14th. Gamers can sign up for the beta on the official Valorant website. The beta will initially be limited to specific regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, and Japan, with the possibility of expanding to more global regions in the future. However, there is no confirmed release date for the full console version of the game.

Custom Gameplay Experience on Console Platforms

According to Riot Games, the console versions of Valorant will offer "custom-built gameplay," tailored specifically for consoles. While crossplay between console and PC will not be available for competitive reasons, players will have the option of cross-progression. This means that players can seamlessly switch between playing on PC and console, with their in-game progress and skins carrying over between platforms.

Enhancing the Console Experience

Production director Arnar Hrafn Gylfason emphasized the importance of delivering a natural and competitive gameplay experience for Valorant on consoles. Gylfason stated, "We were adamant that Valorant’s core, competitive gameplay must feel natural on a controller. And — if we couldn’t deliver on that gameplay promise — we had to be prepared to walk away from it. We hope we nailed it, but ultimately, our players will have the final say."
