YouTube empêche la chaîne de Dr Disrespect de gagner de l’argent

Dr Disrespect’s YouTube channel has lost its ability to earn money through advertisements, according to a YouTube spokesperson named Nicole Bell. The reason cited is a violation of YouTube’s Creator Responsibility policy, as well as serious allegations against the content creator. These allegations stem from reports that Dr Disrespect, whose real name is Guy Beahm, was banned from Twitch due to inappropriate messages sent to a minor via the platform’s communication app. This ban, which occurred in 2020, was shrouded in mystery until recently when former Twitch employee Cody Conners revealed the alleged reason behind it on social media.

After Conners’ tweet, Dr Disrespect denied the accusations and claimed that the matter had been settled with Twitch without any wrongdoing being acknowledged. However, as various brands and organizations began to distance themselves from the content creator, Dr Disrespect took to social media to defend himself. He admitted to exchanging inappropriate messages with a minor back in 2017, but stressed that no actual wrongdoing took place. Despite the backlash, Dr Disrespect expressed his intention to return to streaming after taking an extended break.

Following his ban from Twitch, Dr Disrespect launched a YouTube channel in August 2020, which currently boasts over 4 million subscribers. However, due to the rumors surrounding his exit from Twitch, YouTube declined to offer Dr Disrespect a partnership deal when he joined the platform. Partnership deals provide creators with access to special resources, monetization features, and ad revenue sharing. This decision was influenced by concerns about Dr Disrespect’s past behavior and reputation.

According to Ryan Wyatt, YouTube’s former head of gaming partnerships, the platform’s decision not to partner with Dr Disrespect was based on the rumors and controversies surrounding his departure from Twitch. This stands in contrast to popular creators like Valkyrae and DrLupo, who enjoy partnership deals that offer various benefits to enhance their channels.

Due to the negative rumors and controversy surrounding Dr Disrespect, YouTube opted not to pursue a partnership deal with him, citing the lack of a compelling reason to engage in such an agreement. The platform’s decision reflects the importance of upholding creator responsibility and maintaining a positive brand image.
