RAZER LAUNCHES SNAP TAP MODE FOR HUNTSMAN V3 PRO KEYBOARDS
Razer has introduced a new Snap Tap mode for its Huntsman V3 Pro keyboards, specifically designed to enhance the gaming experience for competitive players. This new feature, similar to Wooting’s Rappy Snappy feature, prioritizes the latest input between two selected keys, allowing players of popular games like Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant to execute quicker counter-strafing movements.
IMPROVING GAMING PERFORMANCE WITH SNAP TAP
With Snap Tap mode, players no longer need to release the previous key when strafing. By enabling Snap Tap on keys A and D, for example, strafing becomes nearly instantaneous, resulting in improved directional changes and movement in esports games. While the difference may only be a couple of milliseconds, it can make all the difference in securing a kill faster than your opponent.
GAME-CHANGING TECHNOLOGY IN COMPETITIVE GAMING
According to Razer, Snap Tap mode, integrated directly into the firmware of Huntsman V3 Pro keyboards, enables instantaneous directional changes without lifting the initial key. This seamless transition is vital in competitive gaming, where even the smallest time differences can significantly impact gameplay outcomes. Razer considers Snap Tap Mode a game-changing feature for the Huntsman V3 Pro line.
RAZER VERSUS WOOTING: A BATTLE OF FEATURES
Razer’s Snap Tap feature comes shortly after Wooting announced its Rappy Snappy feature for their upcoming 80HE keyboard. While Wooting plans to bring this feature to their existing 60HE keyboard, known as one of the best gaming keyboards on the market, they have yet to release the promised 60HE beta of Rappy Snappy. Despite this, Wooting aims to deliver the first batch of new 80HE keyboards with Rappy Snappy in August.
SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR RAZER KEYBOARDS
Razer is rolling out Snap Tap as a software update for the Huntsman V3 Pro line, including full-size, tenkeyless, and 60 percent models. To enable Snap Tap, users will need to have the latest version of Synapse installed and perform a firmware update. The update is being phased out, so it may take a few days before it becomes available to all Huntsman V3 Pro owners.
