LeBron James et Stephen King nient avoir payé pour obtenir la vérification de leur compte Twitter en bleu.

# LEBRON JAMES REFUSES TO PAY FOR BLUE CHECK VERIFICATION IN SPITE OF HAVING ONE

LeBron James, a famous NBA player and Twitter user, has been vocal about his refusal to pay for Twitter’s Blue Check verification. However, his account still shows the verified badge. Hovering over the badge reveals that his account is verified because of his subscription to Twitter Blue and his verified phone number. Yet, his media advisor confirmed that James did not pay the $8 monthly fee. Other NBA players like Stephen Curry, Zion Williamson, and Ja Morant, on the other hand, reportedly lost their blue check badges.

# MORE CELEBRITIES DISCUSS BEING VERIFIED ON TWITTER

James has not commented on the matter on his Twitter account, but other celebrities have been more vocal about their verification status. Stephen King, a famous author and partly responsible for Twitter Blue not costing $20 per month, admitted that he has not subscribed to Twitter Blue or given his phone number to the company but still has the verified badge. Rapper Ice T, who previously stated that he did not care about the blue check badge, also still has one. He expressed his disappointment that blue checks were still being discussed and called it a “sad moment in society.”

# TWITTER’S RESPONSE

When contacted for comment, Twitter’s press email replied with a poop emoji, which they have reportedly been doing for weeks.
