# MICROSOFT REVEALS NEW UPGRADE FOR BING CHATBOT
Microsoft has announced a major upgrade to its Bing chatbot with added image and video responses, the ability to book restaurant reservations, chat history, and integration with Microsoft Edge. These features are part of Microsoft’s move towards making Bing Chat publicly available.
# BING ACTIONS FEATURE IN BING CHAT AND EDGE
One of the most anticipated features is Bing Actions. This new integration with Bing chat and Edge allows users to complete tasks within the chat without navigating back and forth between sites. For example, users can find a recommended restaurant and book a reservation all within the chat interface.
# IMAGE AND VIDEO RESULTS IN BING CHAT
In addition, Microsoft has added visual search results to Bing Chat, including graphs, charts, and updated formatting for easier information search. Users will be able to search for photos or videos of objects, animals, and places, and can even create images using Bing Chat.
# CHAT HISTORY WITH EXPORT AND SHARE FEATURES
Bing Chat will now include a chat history feature that allows users to pick up conversations across devices and use chat history for research. Microsoft is also planning on adding export and share features, which will allow users to share conversations on Twitter or even bring them into a Word document.
# INTEGRATION WITH MICROSOFT EDGE
Microsoft Edge will also see several new features, including improved tone options for generating text and the ability to ask questions about the current page, much like the sidebar in the desktop version. Microsoft Edge’s compose feature in the sidebar is also set to improve.
# PLUG-IN SUPPORT
Microsoft is opening up Bing Chat to third-party developers with plug-in support, with OpenTable and Wolfram Alpha already committed to integrating.
These new features are a game-changer for the future of search and provide new opportunities for developers in the search industry. Details will be revealed at Microsoft Build later this month.
