Perhaps “Rift Apart” has been exceptionally well optimized for the custom AMD “Aerith” chip in the Deck? Maybe it heavily relies on AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution and actually runs below 720p, but with intelligent static upscaling.
All Valve guarantees with the Steam Deck Verified badge is that the game has been spot-checked – it launches and runs relatively smoothly with the developer’s default settings.
