Capcom to Launch Resident Evil 7: Biohazard for Apple Devices

Capcom is preparing to release the iconic game Resident Evil 7: Biohazard for Apple devices, marking a significant shift in the survival horror franchise towards a first-person perspective. The game is set to make its debut on the Apple App Store on July 2nd, specifically designed for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, as well as iPads and Macs equipped with M-Series chips. Originally launched on consoles in 2017, RE7 is now ready to thrill mobile gamers with its intense gameplay and immersive experience.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gameplay on iOS and macOS

Following the success of Resident Evil Village on Apple devices last October, Capcom is bringing the horror to a whole new level with RE7 for iOS and macOS. Players can expect to enjoy the game with touchscreen controls and a new Auto Fire feature, aimed at enhancing the overall gaming experience. This feature allows players to automatically fire weapons after aiming at enemies for a predetermined period, making it easier for newcomers to get into the action. Additionally, the game will support various controllers, including PlayStation 5, Xbox, and other Apple-supported gaming controllers, giving players more flexibility in how they choose to play.

DLCs and Upgrades for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

For avid fans of the series, the DLCs for RE7 will also be available on the Apple platform. The main game, along with the Not A Hero story DLC featuring Chris Redfield, will be released together as a bundle. Players looking to delve deeper into the storyline can opt for the Gold Edition upgrade, which includes additional optional DLC such as End of Zoe, Banned Footage Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, the 5-Coin Set, Survival Pack, and the challenging Madhouse difficulty mode.

Resident Evil 2 Remake and Future Releases

In addition to RE7, Capcom is also working on a remake of Resident Evil 2 for iOS and macOS, originally launched on consoles in 2019. Players can now preorder RE7 on the Apple App Store and enjoy cross-progression support across all their Apple devices. The company’s commitment to bringing the Resident Evil experience to mobile gamers is evident with the recent launch of the 2023 remake of Resident Evil 4 on Apple devices in November.
