Windows 11 ajoute une boutique d’éclairage RGB tout-en-un.

# MICROSOFT INTRODUCES DYNAMIC LIGHTING FOR WINDOWS 11

Microsoft is set to add a new feature to Windows 11 that has long been requested by users: the ability to customize RGB lighting through the Settings menu. The goal is to create a hub where users can adjust the lighting of all their accessories and components, regardless of the brand, thus solving the fractured RGB lighting landscape that has long plagued PC users.

# INTRODUCING DYNAMIC LIGHTING

The hub, called Dynamic Lighting, is designed to consolidate all RGB settings into the Settings menu on Windows. Details on how the feature will work are unclear, although leaked images earlier this year suggest it will offer a new “Lighting” option within the Settings menu that lets users set the lighting effects for all linked devices.

# A MUCH-NEEDED SOLUTION

Currently, users have to download proprietary software associated with each of their devices and components to control their RGB lighting setup. Apps such as Razer Synapse, Corsair iCue, and MSI’s Dragon Center can be resource-intensive and annoying to switch between, especially when trying to create matching lighting effects. While third-party RGB controller software like OpenRGB aim to consolidate RGB settings across all devices, Dynamic Lighting looks set to provide a central RGB controller that will help to solve the current RGB lighting fragmentation issue.

# SEAMLESS AND EFFORTLESS

“With Dynamic Lighting, Windows users will be able to effortlessly set up and customize their devices with RGB lights directly from Windows Settings,” said Microsoft Chief Product Officer, Panos Panay, in a blog post. “It has never been easier to help all your RGB accessories seamlessly work together for Windows apps.”

# ROLLING OUT TO WINDOWS INSIDERS

The new lighting hub will be rolled out to Windows Insiders this month, with no word yet on when it will be available to everyone.
