Votre PC pourrait pleurer face aux exigences minimales du système pour Immortals of Aveum.

IMMORTALS OF AVEUM SETS NEW PC SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Ascendant Studios’ “Call of Duty but with magic” game, Immortals of Aveum, will require a powerful PC to play. The game’s minimum requirements include an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super or better or an AMD 5700 XT, paired with a Core i7-9700 or Ryzen 7 3700X, 16GB of dual-channel RAM, and with an SSD “strongly recommended” to play the game. Based on the requirements alone, it appears that under 9 percent of today’s gaming PCs will even qualify, based on the latest Steam hardware survey.

FROM THE DEVELOPER

Ascendant CTO Mark Maratea stated that the team wanted Immortals of Aveum to be a truly next-generation experience on a technical level. He outlined that every object has been built with detail that is determined by distance, allowing in-game visuals to be one-to-one with cinematic cutscene effects. Maratea also noted that the game uses Nanite technology to create structures and statues that players can interact with as they traverse the world.

PC VS CONSOLE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Immortals of Aveum is playable on the $400 PlayStation 5 without the same power requirements as its PC counterpart. Maratea explained that the game uses AMD’s FSR2 upscaling “to maintain HD and UHD quality visuals without compromising frame rate” and that console players will have their pick of Quality or Performance modes. Given the high PC requirements, Maratea also provided a list of subsequent generation components that meet the minimum spec, including AMD 3700X or higher CPUs and Nvidia 2080 or higher GPUs.

RAY TRACING IS KEY

Maratea said that the decision to set such high system requirements was based on the need for GPUs capable of ray tracing. He noted that while the AMD 5700 XT is not a hardware accelerated ray tracing card, it is the minimum spec that the company is targeting for software-based raytracing.

RELEASE DATE AND PRICE

Immortals of Aveum is due for release on July 20th for PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and Windows PC. It will cost $60 on PC, $10 less than it does on console.
