Le nouvel Onyx Boox Tab Ultra C est une tablette E Ink couleur dotée d’un appareil photo arrière de 16 mégapixels.

ONYX presents its new Tab Ultra C tablet featuring an advanced e-ink display that now offers color capabilities. This 10.3-inch version is the first in the Tab series to utilize the latest version of electronic ink, the Kaleido 3 E Ink screen. Although it can only display up to 4,096 colors, its resolution is much higher, making colors look more vivid than last year’s Onyx Boox Nova Air C’s screen. When viewed in black-and-white mode, the display boasts a sharper 300ppi resolution. It drops to 150ppi when you switch to a color mode, resulting in more pastel-like, instead of vibrant, colors.

This version of the e-ink screen also comes equipped with a front light and reduced blue light reflection features. It boasts of better responsiveness and faster display refresh rates. The Boox Tab Ultra C targets professionals who want to use its powerful OS, access to the Google Play store and improved camera features. It runs on a modified version of Android 11 and is powered by a Qualcomm octa-core CPU with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. The tablet also shares the same 6,300mAh battery and is available with 10GB of free Onyx cloud storage.

The Boox Tab Ultra C is very similar to its monochrome predecessor in terms of specs and functionality. Both versions feature the same 16-megapixel OCR-enabled camera although, based on its target market, it seems that this feature is geared more toward professional document scanning rather than taking pictures of pets. The tablets feature four refresh modes that you can utilize to improve your browsing experience.

The tablet is now available for pre-order on the official Boox Shop for $599 with a bundled Pen2 Pro stylus and magnetic case included. During the pre-order sale, Onyx is also offering a discounted keyboard case valued at $109.99 that you can purchase for only $50 with the tablet.

The Boox Tab Ultra C is familiar yet innovative, loaded with improved features that promise to deliver a more pleasurable experience. Its introduction to the market revamps the classic display technology of e-ink, with punches of color and better responsiveness that appeal to both professionals and casual users.
