# LOGITECH UNLEASHES THE POWER OF HOT DESKING AND HYBRID WORKING
Logitech has announced the launch of the Logi Dock Flex, a cutting-edge all-in-one USB-C docking station that aims to reduce the inconvenience of hot desking and hybrid working. Say goodbye to frustrated and confused employees struggling to find open desks or meeting rooms. The Logi Dock Flex comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen that looks like an Amazon Echo Show smart display. With this feature, users can reserve rooms and monitor desk availability on Zoom Workspace, Microsoft Teams, or Logitech’s new desk booking software.
# PORT-RICH DOCKING STATION WITH BUILT-IN DISPLAY
While adding a built-in display is unconventional for a docking station, Logitech has found a way to integrate it seamlessly into the design of the Logi Dock Flex. The front of the Logi Dock Flex features two USB-C ports and a USB-A port, all located below the 8-inch display. Meanwhile, the back of the docking station boasts two extra USB-A ports, a USB-C port, a gigabit ethernet port, and a Kensington lock slot. The Logi Dock Flex supports two 4K monitors through one HDMI and one DisplayPort connection, and it supplies any laptop connected to it with 100W of charge via its dedicated USB-C connection.
# AN INTEGRATED SCREEN TO KEEP EMPLOYEES CONNECTED
Logi Dock Flex is not just about a more efficient desk-booking system. It also allows employees to join meetings and display their own calendars, photographs, and away messages. Furthermore, the integrated screen displays which employee has reserved a desk and how long they will use it. These features promote sharing and social collaboration among coworkers, fostering a more inclusive and connected workplace environment.
# CONTINUING THE CUBE-SHAPED DOCKING STATION legacy
The Logitech Logi Dock Flex is the successor to the cute and functional Logi Dock, a cube-shaped docking station that boasts a built-in speakerphone. The new model takes a multidimensional approach to tackle not just desk booking and management but also social collaboration. “We took a multidimensional approach to building Logi Dock Flex that not only solves desk booking and management issues but promotes social collaboration and gives IT and workplace managers data on how the tech and space are being used,” Scott Wharton, General Manager of Logitech B2B, stated.
# PRICEY YET WORTH THE INVESTMENT
At $699, the Logi Dock Flex may seem pricey compared to other docking stations on the market. However, users will be getting a slew of features that could make hot desking and hybrid working a breeze. The package also comes with a free version of Logitech’s desk booking software, which can be operated independently using the Logi Tune app on desktop and mobile. A paid version of the desk booking software is also available, providing additional features like analytics, advanced user management, and office maps. While the Logi Dock Flex lacks Thunderbolt support, it definitely makes up for it in port options and an integrated display.
# PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
Logitech has yet to announce the release date for the Logi Dock Flex, except to say it will be available in the fall of 2023. Nonetheless, Logitech’s desk booking software is available now for users to demo before committing to the priced offering. Premium features will run as a free beta until July 1st, 2024.
