Les développeurs de Gollum s’excusent pour l’expérience de jeu décevante.

# DEVS OF “THE LORD OF THE RINGS: GOLLUM” APOLOGIZE FOR POOR GAME EXPERIENCE

The developers of the highly-anticipated video game, “The Lord of the Rings: Gollum,” have released an apology following criticisms from both critics and players alike. The game, which is set during the events of “The Fellowship of the Ring,” was released on Thursday for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch release set for later this year.

However, the game failed to meet the high expectations of both the developers and the gaming community, with sparse gameplay, mediocre graphics, and numerous bugs plaguing the experience. In response, Daedalic Entertainment, the game’s studio, issued a statement on Twitter and Steam, apologizing for the game’s shortcomings.

“We acknowledge and deeply regret that the game did not meet the expectations we set for ourselves or for our dedicated community,” the statement reads. “We genuinely value your feedback and have been actively listening to your voices, reading your comments, and analyzing the constructive criticism and suggestions you have provided.”

The statement also revealed that the studio has been working on fixes for some of the bugs and performance issues, and they would keep users updated on their progress.

# CRITICISMS OF “GOLLUM”

Despite the hype surrounding the video game’s release, negative reviews quickly flooded in from players and critics alike. GameSpot reported that the game crashed over 120 times in 11 hours of playtime, while Polygon criticized the game’s lack of personality. IGN bluntly stated that the game was “not fun to play.”

The PC version of the game currently has a rating of 41 on Metacritic and a “Mostly Negative” reception on Steam. With that in mind, it’s unclear how much the game’s developers can do to fix the game aside from working on performance issues.

# THE FUTURE OF “THE LORD OF THE RINGS: GOLLUM”

It remains to be seen if the developers can salvage the game’s experience and rebuild trust in the gaming community. For now, those who were excited about the game’s release have been left disappointed, and the future of “The Lord of the Rings: Gollum” remains uncertain.
